Our Story

Costa Baja was built on a shared dream between father and son. For Jesús, cooking and fishing had always been more than hobbies — they were lifelong passions. In the early 1990s, he opened his first taco shop in Ciudad Morelos, Baja California, where he learned the importance of hard work, authentic flavors, and treating every customer like family.

Years later, his son Alexis saw an opportunity to turn that passion into something bigger. With a vision to build a family business and a plan for the future, Alexis approached his father with an idea: bring their love for mariscos to life.

Taking a leap of faith, they left their jobs and began the journey that would become Costa Baja. What started with pickup orders from home eventually grew into a food truck, officially launching the business in 2021.

Today, with 4 locations now opened, Costa Baja is built on the same values that started it all — fresh ingredients, family recipes, and authentic Mexican seafood. Every dish is made from scratch using carefully selected ingredients and recipes passed down through generations. From our fish breading to our sauces, every detail is rooted in tradition.

Our goal is simple: when you visit Costa Baja, we want you to feel the authenticity of Mexican culture, the warmth of family, and the difference that passion makes in every plate.
